turbulent jet instabillity

This picture displays the iso-surface of vorticity magnitude in a forced wall jet which was obtained using direct high-order numerical simulations (DNS). The computations were performed by Dr. Miguel Visbal and Dr. Datta Gaitonde of U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base located in Dayton, Ohio.
