Spinning Eggs

Materials:

One raw egg

One hardboiled egg

Procedure: Spin two eggs, one hard boiled and one raw. The raw one is much more difficult to spin fast.

Explanation: The raw egg has a fluid inside and the hard boiled is solid. The internal fluid will keep the egg from spinning fast - it takes time (and energy) to spin up the internal fluid, whereas the solid all starts spinning at the same time. You can also see that once the internal fluid is spinning, that it will keep the egg spinning as well.
