Delft University Press was established just over 25 years ago in order to
provide the university and its staff members with a publication channel for the
dissemination of scientific knowledge. Its mission is to stimulate and support
staff members in publishing their work. The list of Delft University Press
publications includes monographs, manuals, proceedings of conferences and
symposiums, and theses. Each year, approximately 200 new titles are published
and distributed worldwide through the usual (booksellers') channels. Since 1
January 1996, Delft University Press has also issued the educational
publications of the Delft Students' Association (Vereniging Studie- en
studentenbelangen Delft, 'VSSD').
Previously, these publications were issued by Delftsche Uitgevers Maatschappij.
