The American Society of Mechanical Engineers announced the approval for the creation of a Nanotechnology Institute in its July, 2001 issue
of ASME News. The goals of the Institute will be ãto support nanotechnology design and development and the commercialization of the products and processes
that use nanotechnology, while promoting ASME as the leading society for the practical application of nanotechnology...ä Prof. Majumdar, UC-Berkeley will
