Procedure:
Turn the faucet on. As the flow accelerates downward, the crossectional
area of the water stream will decrease.
Explanation:
As the flow accelerates toward the sink (from gravity), its
speed increases. Since the water is incompressible, this increase
in speed reduces the area because the mass flux of water must
be conserved.
